My Career Journey
Hey, I’m Rohma — here’s my journey from working with global brands to building a freedom-first freelance career.
Over the past 8 years, my career has spanned across multinational corporations and high-growth startups — with a cross-industry background in CPG, pharmaceutical, retail, e-commerce, professional development, and social impact sectors.
I started my journey managing the Procter & Gamble portfolio at a leading sales and distribution company, overseeing key accounts and operations.
Transitioning into the digital commerce space, I joined Bazaar Technologies, one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing B2B marketplaces, where I expanded some of the core product categories contributing to the platform’s rapid commercial growth.
I then advanced my career by joining Nestlé, where I transitioned into brands. This shift allowed me to lead brand strategy, market expansion, and digital engagement projects at a national scale.
Expanding my regional scope, I moved to Dubai and joined IFFCO Group in a marketing role, spearheading new product innovation and creating the company’s digital strategy for the GCC region.
Alongside my corporate work, I transitioned into the professional development space, coaching a wide range of professionals — from Ivy League graduates to mid- and senior-level managers, C-suite executives, and leaders at top tech firms — through my work at CareerHigher. I supported clients across the US, UK, EU, and GCC, helping them craft career strategies, elevate their personal brands, and navigate high-stakes job searches. Many of the professionals I coached went on to land interviews at leading global organizations, including Google, Amazon, Meta, Uber, J.P. Morgan Chase, Wolt, and BCG.
Beyond corporate and coaching roles, I have contributed to advocacy initiatives, supporting digital literacy and women’s entrepreneurship efforts through CIRCLE Women. I also spearheaded the launch of She Loves Tech’s first-ever competition round in Pakistan, helping spotlight women-led innovation across agritech, healthtech, and beyond, and engaging with researchers from UNESCO-recognized institutions.
Today, based in Dubai, I help ambitious professionals — particularly those seeking career independence — break free from traditional career models and build freedom-first, impact-driven careers that align with their aspirations and lifestyles.
